Jaguar XF’s attempted high-wire crossing

The new Jaguar XF was revealed in London when British stuntman, Jim Dowdall attempted a thrilling high-wire water crossing, the longest distance driven on a wire by a vehicle.

The fascinating journey of the luxury sedan took place just one week before its public motor show debut in New York in an all-new aluminium-intensive Jaguar XF using wires just over an inch thick.

First launched in autumn 2007, the Jaguar XF displays luxury features with innovative design and refined engineering performance. The XF is Jaguar’s best selling and most awarded vehicle in the current product range.

Jaguar’s Director of Design, Ian Callum, states: “I believe the all-new XF will be the best looking car in its class. Elegant, handsome and with proportions that imbue a great sense of integrity – the all-new XF will be true to the strong tradition of sporting Jaguar saloons while being completely of its time.”

The Jaguar XF made its debut at the global motor show in New York.
